Need information on Operator safety for machine tools

Need information on Operator safety for machine tools

(OP)
Hello,

I'm looking for a standard (OSHA, EC, ISO etc) which defines requirements for a teach-pendant use in auto / manual mode on a machinetool eg. 5 axis CNC machine.

1. does the teach pendant need to have 'the dead man switch' always ? or only when the operator walks - in / can walk in the machine body/work envelop ?

2. can the axes be moved in jog mode with machine doors open ?

3. Do machine doors always need to be closed if the machine tool is running in Auto mode ?

4. Do air curtains / floor mats ever used with a closed machine tool ?

I would appreciate if anybody can give some information on this and/ or point me to the applicable standard.

thanks.
