B-SURFACE INTERSECT

B-SURFACE INTERSECT

B-SURFACE INTERSECT

(OP)
I am using NX4.0.4.2

I would like to intersect  a couple b-surfaces, I used a tool in NX about a year ago that allows the user to intersect and trim b-surfaces that do not join one another.

RE: B-SURFACE INTERSECT

You're probably thinking of a function called 'Trim and Extend', which can be found at...

Insert -> Trim -> Trim and Extend...

John,

I could be mistaken but I thought there was another method?

RE: B-SURFACE INTERSECT

There are probably several workflows that could result in extending followed by trimming surfaces, but Trim and Extend is about the only command available that is capable of doing it all in one shot.  Take care to note the extension methods from which you have to choose in the Trim and Extend menu.
