Hydrants in Process Plants
Hydrants in Process Plants
(OP)
Hi Everybody,
We are adding a Water Thank and associated pumps to an existing process plant. There is no access to hydrants from these equipment. Is there any requirements based on international standards like NFPA that all equipment including water pumps must have access to water hydrants? It doesn't make sense to me but I need to making sure about it.
Thanks for your time.

Your insurance provider may have something to say about that too.

We renamed our fire water protection system to a water wash system after increasing standards and liability for maintaining a fire protection system (including a fire bragade) became unbearable.
