Thumbnail icons in windows explorer default to generic thumbnails?

Thumbnail icons in windows explorer default to generic thumbnails?

Thumbnail icons in windows explorer default to generic thumbnails?

Hey...just finally upgraded from 2007 to 2009..  The one thing that I notice not entirely related to Solidworks is that all the solid works files no longer have a thumbnail image of the part/assy/drw anymore...it's just a generic Solidworks icon representing either of the three...has anyone else seen this?

It's kinda annoying as the thumbnails help me sift through all the files,  now I don't have that ability anymore...in 2007 it worked just fine...

RE: Thumbnail icons in windows explorer default to generic thumbnails?

Have you checked the Show thumbnail graphics in Windows Explorer option in Tools > Options > System Options > General? It may have been reset during the upgrade.

No that was still checked to show thumbnails....

So I'm baffled why it's not showing the thumbnails...  Though in all honesty I should turn it off anyway as it does really slow opening folders with allot of SW files when the thumbnails are shown...but it makes finding the files so much easier...
