NX6 CAM Corner Smoothing

NX6 CAM Corner Smoothing

(OP)
Hi everybody, I have a question about NX6-CAM with respect to Cutting Parameters -> Corner -> Smoothing. Is it possible within Finish Walls that the final pass is not using corner-smoothing but actually milling the profile instead.
This seems at least a little bit funny to me if not?
The upper left finishes the contour [corner 16.6; mill 16] the lower right is not[corner 16.6 ; mill 16, smoothing R6]. I understand it geometrically but do not think it is logic.
See picture attached, thanks in advance, Bert

RE: NX6 CAM Corner Smoothing

If the roughing passes were rounded and the finish passes were not, the tool would embed in the corners due to more material being removed, exactly the situation we want to avoid.
To do what you want, copy/paste the operation, turn of rounding, and set the cut pattern to profile.

Hi Mark, I expected, if choosing additional finish pass, with preselectable allowance on the profile, the finish operation would skip the corner-smoothing. Sorry I was not that specific in the start of the thread.
