AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 4200 +
2 GB RAM
Video Card: GeForce 9500
Hard Drive 160 GB (The hard drive is partitioned 100 GB on drive C, where NX is installed)
Operating system:
Windows XP SP2
RE: Partition hard drive
There could be a lot of reasons, whit solver doesn't work. First of all check your virtual memory. It must be not less than 4GB. as loosib said you might be out of memory.
The second one, try to reinstall the whole application if possible.
3rd. Maybe, that some AV software just cloes the processes of solver due to "suspicious actions" of the process.
And the last one. Check your license or/and FlexML server if it works ok.
Your hardware is ok, so everything should work correctly.
RE: Partition hard drive
You might want follow the suggestions I offered earlier that you gather the syslogs adn contact GTAC. But if others are suggesting memory is a likely culprit then it may pay you in terms of lost productivity to look into addressing this apparent memory deficit at the same time.

Since the analysis code is purchaed, they could be doing a graphics card check and causing the code to abort due to an unrecognized card.

That may officially be the case but they work just fine for most applications. I'm not aware of what their deficiencies are if any, but on performance clearly they are suitable at the lower end. The advice I would give for people looking to save money is that in purpose built systems you are taking a calculated risk that can best be managed if your dealer is willing to allow you to test a few options when you system is being built.
We have used several lower priced such cards for NX and other CAD for some time with few if any problems in less demanding roles. Certainly for the heavier lifting and where users are reporting graphics bottle necks I'm advising otherwise because there is that clear need. As an experienced user willing to take steps to save money I am occasionally driven to go with a more cost effective approach.

This is where you do need to check since we have tried several cards over the years and found more problems with display regeneration on some of the ATI cards than anything else. Obviously being optimised for gaming and workstation graphics are two different things and it makes the point that taking a risk to save cash comes with a potential downside.

Thanks.

The Nvidia QuadroFX line is typically better than ATI cards.
Try a Quadro FX1700 card and see what happens.
