Axial displacement rotor
Axial displacement rotor
(OP)
Hi,
can someone tell me which order has the vibration normaly as the rotor of a asynchrnous motor is axial shifted?
and why they have this specific orders?
I hoop somebody can help me.

RE: Axial displacement rotor
Aerodynamic force can be something like broadband.
Electromagnetic force would generally include a dc component and a 2*LF component.
If you look at actual axial movement of a motor either in uncoupled condition you will see only relatively slow movement due to the high inertia of the rotor. I have also seen axial movement of a sleeve bearing motor coupled through a shim pack coupling to a pump which oscillated axially at approx 1hz only when the pump was at low flow – no oscillation when pump increased flow. Presumably in this case the oscillation was excited by broadband flow vibration and the frequency was the resonant frequency of the rotor mass moving axially with respect to the springy coupling.
