Would one of you Siemens guys please advise me on a Model #6RA7091-6FV62-0-Z DC drive.  Specifically, is it reversing? regenerative?  Max hp, amps, or kw at 500V on armature?

Thanks in advance.

RE: ID for Siemens DC Drive

There's always the Siemens drive catalog. But it is rather "thick" (in more than one way). The crash course at http://www3.sea.siemens.com/step/pdfs/dcd_4.pdf contains the information on page 15. It says (for the 6RA7091-6FV62-0Z):

Four quadrant regenerating 500 HP 850 A at 500 V DC.

A 500 V grid will produce a higher output voltage, but current will always be limited to 850 A.

RE: ID for Siemens DC Drive

Sorry Dick. I am not a Siemens employee. But do lots of work on their equipment. Hope that is OK for you.  smile

Thanks, Skogs, for that info.  I didn't realize it was a current model.  The drive looked old and tired, to say the least.

As for "Siemens guys", I meant anyone with the info (regardless of gender or employment!).

Thanks again.
