Multiple leaders from one note?

Multiple leaders from one note?

Multiple leaders from one note?

(OP)
Howdy all,

Is there an easy way of doing multiple leaders from one note?  If I want a note to point to two different things on a drawing I usually just add a dummy note with a space and move the leader to where I want it, but if I move a note only it's real leader moves with it.  I've got to move the other leader seperately.

Not a big deal, I was just wondering if there was some simple switch I was missing.  SW2009 and I have been working with SW for about 3 years now.

Thanks,

Kirby,

Select your note and then control-drag the leader to create multiple leaders.

RE: Multiple leaders from one note?

Easiest way is to Ctrl-select the elements to which you want the leaders attached, then activate the Note tool and place the note.

If the note is already placed, click on the arrow, then Ctrl-select the square at the tip of the arrow and drag and drop.

Wow,

Simple, straight forward.  I spend a couple of hours trying to figure that out before I went to the experts.  Thanks dgowans.

Yet another way.
1. Select Note Icon.
2. Move your mouse cursor to the position where you want to place the note.
3. Hold down CTRL (but dont click yet). This will freeze the position of the note.
4. Without releasing CTRL, select multiple entities one by one

RE: Multiple leaders from one note?

Well, I'll be dipped in...    ...never mind.

Is any of that in SW's "help"?  Or Tutorials?
