New WPS for old PQR

(OP)
Dear All,

I want to make a new WPS for past PQR. is there any limitation about thickness of basemeta?the process welding is GTAW and SMAW

Thanks in advance

RE: New WPS for old PQR

Yes. Follow the requirements in Articles II and IV in Section IX using the PQR data.

RE: New WPS for old PQR

You can make a new WPS from an existing PQR. The limits on thickness in the new WPS are essential variables based on the original PQR. Please review ASME IX, QW-403.8, QW-451 & QW-202.4(b) (if applicable).
