Slidiing Nylon 6/6 with chrome hardened ring

(OP)
Have a 9/16" rod covered with a (5/8 OD, 9/16 ID) nylon 6/6 bushing stock riding on a 3/4" ID chrome plated (65-70 Rc) ring.

Am trying to determine wear of Nylon 6/6.  I want the nylon 6/6 to wear first.

Have yet to find a equivalent hardness rating for the nylon 6/6.

Any comments or sources?

RE: Slidiing Nylon 6/6 with chrome hardened ring

Plastics do not have a "Hardness", they are plastic. Metal s exhibit this property and it comes from some kind of secondary processing(Heat treat), which cant be done to plastics. Anyhow, I can guarantee that the nylon will wear before the Steel Shaft.
