Determination of area for a specific surface

Determination of area for a specific surface

Determination of area for a specific surface

(OP)
I am using NX 6.0 and have a free form solid built up by sheets. Now i want to add a force to a small section of the solid and is intrested in the surface area of my selection.
How do I do to determinate the specific area of a selected part of my free form solid?
I have projected my selection onto the surface of intrest.

RE: Determination of area for a specific surface

OK, after you've projected you're curve onto the solid face, go to...

Insert -> Trim -> Divide Face...

...and select the face(s) that the projected curve lies on and then the projected curve as the Dividing Object and hit OK.  Now go to...

Analysis ->  Measure Face...

...and select the area bounded by your projected curve and you will see the area and you can generate a report by toggling on the 'Show Information Window' option.
