Can a pre-qualified PQR that was qualified using SA516-Gr 70 material with P1-Group 2 to P1-Group 2 support a written WPS for the welding of API 5L-X65 (S1-G2)pipe to SA106B (P1-G1)pipe.
Per ASME Code ruling, is the above acceptable?
Can the same WPS qualify welding of ASTM A694-F65 to SA106B material ?
Professional advise appreciated.

Per QW-403.5, the qualifications you mention are acceptable, only if tougness (CVN testing) is not a requirement.
