API 530 rupture design VS corrosion allowance

API 530 rupture design VS corrosion allowance

(OP)
Hi,

I'm calculating the remining life of a heater designed according API 530.  The skin temperature of the convection portion of the heater is working at 1000F and is made of A200 T9.  My question is for the rupture design and not for the elastic one.  If the future steel to be corroded available is 0.024'' (after a pigging, thickness measured - stress thickness calculated) and I want to only replace these tubes in three years (with a estimated corrosion rate of 10 mpy) can I put in equation no. 5 of API 530 the dCA = 0.030'' instead of 0.024''.

Thanks in advance
