Good day all,

2 issues -
1. I'm looking for a way to inspect concrete, for eg the posts/piles holding up a reformer. Can anyone assist with an appropriate method or supplier?

I know there are the methods to check the rebars etc, but are there any further inspection techniques to determine the integrity of the comcrete structures?

2. Besides guided wave inspection, what is the best method to determine corrosion, etc on offshore risers, especially those under the splash zone to the platforms.
i have some risers, jacket legs, etc to inspect, and the best method i have in mind is long range/guided wave ultrsonics, which is a very good screening tool, but i'd like to know if there are any other methods out there.

Thanks.

1. Visual inspection of your concrete supports should be enough assuming the concrete met the engineering specifications at construction. If there is no significant cracking or spalling, you should not have any issues.
If you see signs of damage a civil assessment should be done.

2. What size of risers? what access do you have? Coatings?

Pulse eddy current may be an option for wall loss. You need to specify the damage you are looking for then determine the appropriate inspection method(s)
