Dynamic Sectioning

I saw earlier post from 2006. It is now 2009. Has Pro E Wildfire either Ver4 or 5 come up with Dynamic Sectioning similar to Catia V5?

RE: Dynamic Sectioning

I think you mean this...

View>
Display Settings>
Visibilities>

Adjust the top slider to ajust clipping percentage on the model.

RE: Dynamic Sectioning

Clipping has been around since about R20.

RE: Dynamic Sectioning

Try eDrawings which should allow a more user friendly method to do so. With the dynamic updates in WF5 this might be possible by dynamically modifying an offset plane or possibly view manager redefine but I've not tried that.

Thank You all for the replies. Yes I did try the view display settings clipping method but the clip is just normal to the screen. I was looking for a way to set the clipping plane say on a 'X' plane for example and slide it rearward in the 'X' direction while in an isometric view 3d view. It would also work in the 'Y' and 'Z' directions as well as setting it up normal to any line and sliding it back and forth.
