NON-CONTACT INSULATION to prevent corr. in thermal insul.systems

(OP)
It's not new technology but never the less fairly unknown insulation system: NON-CONTACT INSULATION.
What's been told a good practical solution in preventing CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation).
By creating a cavity between pipe and thermal insulation (in general mineral wool) it prevents water accumulating within wool and also enable water or moisture freely to drain. The way of drainage can be realised by a wick of a drainplug. Already the system is described in standard like DIN 4140 or CINI. Experiences ot thoughts on this topic are highly appreciated
