Measurement over wires Stub Spur Gear
Measurement over wires Stub Spur Gear
(OP)
I need some help determining what measurement I should get over wires of a known size. I have 3 different gears to measure and would ideally like to use the same size wires? Anyone know of a formula to determine the measurement over a given wire size?

All you had to do was convert from metric.............surely that is no big deal....25.4mm = 1 inch.
Look more carefully at all the information in front of you when on the site and you will note that there is a link to what you require.

RE: Measurement over wires Stub Spur Gear
Thank you, it has been a rough couple of days and I did not look as closely as I normally would have.
I have found the correct link and now will be able to compare the measurements I get. Another new venture for me, dealing with gears. As a Manufacturing Engineer very little of my time in the past has dealt with gears so I am quickly learning daily on them.
Thank you again.
Thank you Gearguru, your link took me to the same place I should have found the first go around.
