Excel spreadsheet problem

Excel spreadsheet problem

Excel spreadsheet problem

(OP)
Hi,

I'm trying to bring in an Excel spreadsheet into Catia.

Problem I'm having is that the spreadsheet gets truncated when I bring it into Catdrawing.

Methold I'm using is Insert-Object (select existing excel spreadsheet)

I'm using Excel 2007, V5R18SP5, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition

RE: Excel spreadsheet problem

Don't know the purpose of your operation but have you tried to save the excel as .csv and then use insert csv in Catia?

RE: Excel spreadsheet problem

There are some space limitation when you use Insert. Try editing the spreadsheet first; make the font as small as possible, and minimize the column width.

Might have to breakup the spreadsheet into 2 or more sections and then place them side-by-side.

Azrael's method is probably the best.

RE: Excel spreadsheet problem

You are wright jackk, been there done that, the .csv works darn well. I used it to import BOM in my drawings and despite the simpleness and the robustness of the INSERT TABLE and adequate adjustments seem to be, it could fulfill all my needs. It only needed a little bit of... touch.
