Sketch in Drafting mode problem

Sketch in Drafting mode problem

Sketch in Drafting mode problem

(OP)
In Drafting (no views are present in the drawing), I created a sketch containing a line.
Then I created second sketch containing a circle. Now when I tried to create coincident constraint between centre of circle and end point of line of earlier sketch, the end point is not getting selected.

In modeling application, I am able to refer geometry of earlier sketch into another sketch, but in drafting I am not able to do so.

I am using NX4.0.4.2

RE: Sketch in Drafting mode problem

OK, what you're are being impacted by is the fact that there is no hierarchy or Timestamp concept in Drafting.  Therefore the 2nd Sketch can not reference anything in the 1st Sketch since, as far as that sketch is concerned, the other one does not yet exist (it's a sort of Catch 22 situation).  This holds true whether your Sketches were created in different Views or on the Drawing Sheet itself.

So my advice is, just do all your work in a single Sketch.
