Polishing Machined Mirrors

(OP)
I am analyzing a machined scanner mirror in COSMOS works.  I am getting some cool vibration modes out of it, and I am now trying to understand the fixturing for grinding, which probably is more of a problem.  I am trying to sort out the thickness and the milled out pattern.

I have set the mirror face as a Roller/Sliding restraint and I have applied force on the opposite side.  When I run the analysis, I get a nice stress plot on the mirror face.  Is there any literature or a website out there that would help me predict how much material gets removed under these conditions?
