What are you guys doing that is innovative with flex?
What tricks do you use to tame it and make it parametric?

RE: FLEX Feature-What do you do with it

Nothing innovative, but I have used it have some angles and channels rolled, and I tried to use the Twist option to create a channel profiled chute, but it didn't reduce the length as expected.

This video shows the Twist option being used to create a helical gear.

Here's one from Gabi Jack using the bend option to form a lid retainer.

Arc shaped springs like those used in a dual mass fly wheel.

If I find a picture, I'll post it.

Nice posts, but, I am curious how to make the flex feature parametric. In other words lets say I want something really simple like a single leaf of a leaf spring. I have a spec that says 3 inches of arch in 36 inches. How do I key that into the flex feature. (And yes, I know this can be done quite easily with a sketch and extrude.)

Can they be dimensioned or can the dimensions from the property manager be plugged into a design table?

On the Bending and Twisting options, it appears that only the angle of curvature can be accessed for parametric use. Maybe a DT or Equation could be used to convert the required linear chordal dimensions to the controlling angle. Or use a Layout Sketch with a driven, but linked angle.
