Has there been discussion of a 3D parametric part generator plug-in for nerwer versions of Solidworks, ie. SW2008

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Solid Mechanical formerly SolidMech4.1.1

If you have an older version of SW you could, install it just to run SM4.1.1 and create whatever parts you need, then open those parts in the newer version of SW.

I have emailed with the current owner of SM4.1.1 and they have no plans to upgrade the software for the newer versions of SW.

Thanks. I have our IT department installing and older version to try. According to SolidWorks this should work.

I will also check out the other site you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply.
