Rotatry Pump Capacity

Rotatry Pump Capacity

Rotatry Pump Capacity

(OP)
Hello all,

This is vai. I have just got new project from my boss related to  increase the capacity of rotary pump.Let me explain wat we are doing here.

we have 3GRW worthington pump with 20 HP, 885 RPM motor.  basically we are using this pump at spot "1" to pumping out material from rail car to truck car. we are basically pumping 6000 gallons of truck using this pump and it is taking 90 min. We have filter at pump discharge  which has 500 psi MAWP. We have PSV at pump discharge with the set pressure of 135Psi. Now as long as i can figure it out from operation detail that our pumping rate is like 67 GPM. now we want to double it so we can save time and money to load truck car from rail car. now as long as i know about rotary pump. i proposed this idea to my boss that we can cahnge motor speed we can double it motor RPM and motor HP so we can double it pump capacity.  Boss agreed with this and we are going to check etectrical compatibility of new motor with pump.now my question is that how i have to figure it out NPSH or NPIPR for rotary pump? do i have to take accout of filter condition? btw pipe dia is 3". Even i dotn have idea about discharge pressure from pump discharge.

Need special advise for this project.
