Slot on Curved Surface

Slot on Curved Surface

(OP)
G'day,

I am gradually trying to get to grips with my Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 and am in need of some help.
I have modelled a motorcycle tyre and would like to model a tread pattern on the surface.
Can someone please point me to a step – by – step guide on how to do this (I hasten to request that this be an 'idiots guide' as I have little experience with this software).

Thanks in advance.

My boss says 'There are no problems, only opportunites to prove yourself'.
I remain respecfully sceptical.

RE: Slot on Curved Surface

The best way to model tire treads in Pro/E is with the Toroidal Bend feature (BTW the feature was designed for this very use-case).
