IMPLAUSIBLE problem

IMPLAUSIBLE problem

IMPLAUSIBLE problem

(OP)
Hi,
Problem 1:
I cannot find solution for follwoing error: IMPLAUSIBLE STRESS-STRAIN CURVE FOR ELEMENT-ID = 88177.

Strains in elements are correct - total-elastic=plastic in one case and in second loadcase there is plastic higher than total. There is still a lot of reserve of plasticity.

I have attached plasticity curve (csv file with comma).

Problem 2:
For buckling I have excessive pivot ratios in tet10 element (rotations). What can be solution for that?

Great thanks for help in advance,

Best regards,
Greg

RE: IMPLAUSIBLE problem

hi Greg,
there are two things regarding the stress strain curve you made.
1. last two point in the table should be like that, example:
0.039 - 470 ; 0.08 - 471
2. did you set in the field options "Linear Extrapolation"?

For the rotation problem for tet elements.
Solids in general doesn't have defined rotations. So when launching any model with solids should give this error/warning in f06. But should run anyway with that. If you can't sort it out, kepping get fatal, try PARAM, BAILOUT, -1 to find the problem.

Hope it helps,
GL
