Matlab: Parallel Computing Toolbox

Matlab: Parallel Computing Toolbox

(OP)
Hi, I'm new here and I need some information about matlab. I'm learning how to use the "parallel computing toolbox" using the user's guide from "mathworks.com" and I made some tests of processing time to evaluate the performance between single and parallel matlab.

Until now, a simple for-loop is a hundred times faster than parfor-loop. I followed step by step the user's guide instruction but I could not improve my results.

Someone have examples that show/prove the real performance of parallel matlab with respect to single matlab.

Thank for your answers.
