ACME Thread Wiper?

ACME Thread Wiper?

ACME Thread Wiper?

(OP)
Hello,

Does anyone have any leads on wipers for acme threads.  I have used linear bearings that had wipers on them and thought there might be something already comercially made for the acme thread.  Any info one way or the other would be helpful.  Thank you for your help.

Brett

RE: ACME Thread Wiper?

You should be able to find a brush type wiper for acme threads. They are very common.

RE: ACME Thread Wiper?

Kurt vise Co. has incorporated wire brush wipers in almost all their vises now.  If you cannot find a wire brush wiper for your application, you might think about using a spiral type (expanding bellows) cover.
