Materials Testing Videos request

Materials Testing Videos request

(OP)
Hi everyone

Not sure if this is the right eng-tip forum to ask this question.

Does anyone know of any online video's that demonstrate the use of the machinery involved in materials testing, mainly Fatigue & Fracture. I've got the theory sorted but no practical knowledge of how to use the test equipment.
I've had a look on youtube but not much has come up.

If you know of any other materials testing videos that's not fatigue or fracture, that would be OK as well.

many thanks

RE: Materials Testing Videos request

I'd try contacting MTS Systems (www.mts.com).  I'd guess they have something.

Thanks Bobm3, but I will probably have to pay for video's from there. I pretty sure that there's some free stuff around.

We have a saying" If you throw nuts, you only get monkeys".

Meaning knowledge or information has to be learnt right way and not source it free on the net. You will not get much help this way. Talk to ASM and other communities, who have invested a lot of money to provide sound education.

If you think education is expensive, try Ignorance.

By the way, the videos are for a general overview of the procedures. I'm not going to watch a video then try and use one of these machines! If I was going to use one I would go on a course.
