What is meant by the GP1 designation?

Ground and Polish?

If this is ASTM F593 Standard Specification, the GP is probably Group 1 designation.

Yes it is the ASTM F593 Standard Specification.

Group 1, which includes alloys 303, 304, 305, 384, XM1, and XM7.
