NX6 IGES, STEP Versions

NX6 IGES, STEP Versions

NX6 IGES, STEP Versions

(OP)
I have been tasked with completing a customer questionaire regarding our CAD capabilities.  All of it is straightforward except for determining what version level our IGES and STEP capabilities are.  How do I determine what versions NX6 defaults to?
TIA!

RE: NX6 IGES, STEP Versions

I would suggest you do a translation then look at the log file. For an IGES translation that was done a few days ago, one of the first lines in the log file reads "NX V6.0 / IGES Specification 5.3".

I'm not sure if this is the IGES version for NX or if this is the version that the other software wrote out, but it may be a starting point.

To see which standard NX supports, just perform an Export (rather than an Import) and then check the log files.

RE: NX6 IGES, STEP Versions

The IGES 5.3 spec has been out there for a while.
Yes, the log files do list the spec that the translators comply with.

Ah, but the solution was to check the log after exporting.
