What is a Burke-Loop?

What is a Burke-Loop?

What is a Burke-Loop?

(OP)
I'm currently retrofitting a building from 1983 and it has called out on the roof framing details a " 3/4" Diameter Burke-Loop (404-No-035)". Basically it's used horizontally in the anchor bolt slot of an HD-2 to connect a roof purlin to a concrete tilt-up wall. Does anybody have knowledge of these things because I've never heard of them before. Basic load info is what I need since we're trying to verify if the existing ties can take the current required anchorage forces.

RE: What is a Burke-Loop?

Burke used to be a manufacturer of concrete inserts.  I don't know if they are still in business or if this is one of their products.
