Points and Planes Repetition

Points and Planes Repetition

Points and Planes Repetition

(OP)
I have a spline of length, say 50mm. To create multiple instances of points on the spline, theoretically you can specify either the a) no. of points to be generated or b) distance to be maintained between each point.

In case a) if you give 5 points, assuming you want them to be equally spaced, that means (50mm/5points) = 5 points spaced at 10mm will be created.

In case b) if you give 10mm, you get the same result.

I would like to incorporate both these "points creation" methods. The problem is, both seem to be dependent on each other. Using the Points and Planes Repetition command, I can only go as far as specifying the instances. I tried linking Spacing to a parameter of X mm, but the result is not what I expect. CATIA creates the number of points as specified by instances, but the spacing value is not being maintained. Can you suggest an alternative ?
