Extrude error in configuration

Extrude error in configuration

Extrude error in configuration

(OP)
Open up this part and between the two configurations. You'll notice the warning that pops up in one because the sketch is no longer in the right place. But why? The sketch was created using convert entities---shouldn't it remain in that channel? So either I'm seriously misunderstanding configurations or something strange is going on.

RE: Extrude error in configuration

That is a very strange one. The two elements in red are switching reference to the lower recessed feature.

If all the sketch elements are deleted and replaced with a full outline of the recess, the feature rebuilds without throwing an error message, but still switches position.

You should submit this to your VAR.

Yes, I am at a loss as to what is going on. I'll submit it to SW. Thanks.

RE: Extrude error in configuration

It has the same problem for me as what you and CBL encountered.  Strange!  The VAR should sned this on to corporate if they can't solve it in short order.  In the meantime you might make this as two separate features, one for each config.
