Can external threads be represented

Can external threads (e.g. threaded end of a shaft) be added as part of the model, like adding threaded holes?
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: Can external threads be represented
If you require futher help let me know and I'll send you some threaded files I have. Been making real threads for quite some time now...You will get a performance hit using Helixs.

RE: Can external threads be represented
I'd like to select the shaft surface, select the appropriate end (face) and specify "X" thread - "Y" long.
Much as the hole wizard. Then this will be represented in the part drawing, and eliminate adding the minor diameter lines to represent the threaded portion of the shaft.

Hope this helps,
