Currently I'm working on a project that requires the construction of a SS 304 irrigation intake screen. The screen will be installed in a flowing river.
The design of the screen at this point includes two 3" pipes welded to the screen body with bronze check valves (used as foot valves) threaded onto the 3" welded pipe. PVC or Nylon cam-lock connectors will then be attached to the bronze check valve.
The screen will be installed in the river at the begining of run-off (spring) and removed again in the fall for storage over the winter.
Should I be concerned about corrosion between the SS and the Bronze?

There isn't that much difference between the potential between bronze and passive stainless (there is between bronze and carbon steel, bronze is vary much more cathodic). So some corrosion could happen. The bronze would be the anode. It would probably take a fairly long time.
Make sure the stainless is passivated. If it's welded, be safe and specify an "L" grade of stainless.
