Hello All i need some help finding what material ge uses for these spec numbers B5E1A  B50A675B or B21B23. Can anybody help me

RE: GE Spec Number B5E1A B50A675B or B21B23

According to my GE Large Steam Turbine Applications chart that was given to me by my predecessor

B5E1A is specified for valve stems and is supplied as bar or forging, nitrided
C - 0.42%, Cr-1.6%, Mo-0.4%, Al added (nominal mass percent amounts)

I don't have info on the other GE material.

RE: GE Spec Number B5E1A B50A675B or B21B23

Hi, I'm also having a similar problem with GE material Specs. while flipping through an old GE field manual.  As far as I can tell B21B23 or B50A675B seems to be Stellite 6.  I'm currently in need of info on GE material spec B7B1B3 and B5F34P.  metengr can you maybe shed some light on these two materials?  I've also noticed there seems to be many variations of B50A steel alloy, can anyone explain the significances of the suffixes?
