Remote desktop?

Remote desktop?

Remote desktop?

(OP)
Does anyone use remote desktop (microsoft, or third party options) to control NX?  I would like to use this during meetings on a common computer, but the windows arangement is not ideal so I'd like to hear of other expieriences.

RE: Remote desktop?

RDP is really boring, netviever or teamviewer are better, we are testing HP RGS ist really strong the collabrate option is cool, we have little problems with the spacemaouse devices.

RE: Remote desktop?

We have been using GoToMeeting for distance learning and it allows someone else to take control of the session.  I have had no issues with the display or spaceball.

RE: Remote desktop?

I use altiris, it's fantastic, virtually no lag to any of our sites round the world. I can search for computer  ID's or the name of the person logged on and request remote control. The only problem is, our space naviagators don't work. We also have Teamcenter Appshare which we use through Teamcenter community, that's quite cool too and allows you to swap ends so it can be controlled by either party.

Best regards

Life shouldn't be measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of times when it's taken away...

RE: Remote desktop?

Of course we use TeamCenter Application Sharing, particularly when there is the expectation that multiple people may be needing to share their desktops with the group, which is often the case when we do software design reviews, progress demos and when ready to sign-off on something allowing everyone to see.

Now of course, when it's just one-way, like town hall meetings with the executives, we use services more geared to large numbers of people, but also were the material pretty much flows in only one direction with perhaps texting type feedback options.
