DER Application Process

Hello,
I wanted to check what is the DER application process for Company DER .Is there any examination process or just need Professional references from Company.I am looking for being in area of Structures.I have handled past FAA Engineering & certification co-ordination myself and would like to be as Company DER for my company in Structure area.
Please advise.

RE: DER Application Process

Log on to www.faa.gov.  There is now a link for Designee's and Delegations in the left hand column down below the FAA Offices.  It has the application forms.  You will submit them to the ACO that covers the area in which you work.  Before you can receive the designation, you also have to take an Initial Seminar that is offered once a month...usually in Oklahoma City, OK.
