How to dimension a pin like the end of a G-clamp handle

How to dimension a pin like the end of a G-clamp handle

(OP)
Hi All,

I am trying to dimension a 2mm pin that has a clearance fit perpendicular to the axis a 6mm rod.  The idea is to retain the pin inside the rod but flattening the ends of the 2mm pin like we see on the handles of G-clamps.

How would i represent the flatten edges and dimensions it on the drawings?  does any one have experience in this?

Thanks in advance!

You could sketch the defining profiles, path and guide curves, and create a sweep.

You might also be able to use the Deform tool.

I like the idea of using the deformed tool as the idea is to crimp the two edges of the tommy bar.  I will come back if i dont manage to deform it

Thanks for the help!
