TPE, TPV or TPA--Plastic Material Selection Help!!

TPE, TPV or TPA--Plastic Material Selection Help!!

(OP)
I am trying to find a replacement plastic material with the following properties:

1. Injection Moldable
2. Shore A hardness between 30 and 45
3. UV-Stable
4. Temp. range of -40F to 180F
5. No mineral oils used in construction

Tried using Krayton (DYNAFLEX G7930-1001-0) and Santoprene 8211-35; which both have the physical properties we need; but ended up leeching oils past 80F.

Want to use this material in a form of a molded gasket between 2 fiberglass profiles--and are having issues with the mineral oils from the current material (Krayton) leeching into the fiberglass over time.

Need some suggestions on material options for this gasket (it has a failry complicated 3d profile).

RE: TPE, TPV or TPA--Plastic Material Selection Help!!

Polyurethane

Liquid Silicone Rubber (well sort of injection mouldable with the correct equipment).

Polyester block elastomers such as Hytrel or Arnitel (the softest grades might just qualify, but I am out of date on current range availability).

Pat

Agree with Pat - PU or polyester TPE.

Note that both are very critical regarding moisture content prior to moulding.
