Bridge Crossing with Duct System
Bridge Crossing with Duct System
(OP)
A bridge crossing hanging support system is to be designed for a suspended duct system between the steel I-Beams of a bridge. Holes will be drilled in the steel I-Beams to fasten(Steel Bolts) the duct supports to them. Do the bolts and steel members of the supporting frames for the duct system have to be selected based on the standards set by AASHTO? Pleas advice

"Who is the owner, what does it cross? My answer may be different for a State DOT owned bridge over an interstate vs. a rural county bridge over a creek.
AASHTO applies to all of the states in United State of America, right! So why respond as " No" as the previously responder has done. Please advise

Also, AASHTO doesn't have a specific requirements for utility supports.
