Is there a recognised standard for this?

Readability is the only standard that I am aware of for this situation.  Am also very interested to learn if there is an actual standard to cover it.

Not sure on that one since my system doesn't even allow that. i did thumb through my drafting book nd found nothing on it. i would assume 2X font total just like anything else.
