Hi,

I have a weldment model that is highly parametric, a few initial sketches drive every aspect through almost 40 equations and a dozen variables.

Everything is working great except when I change the sketches the model will rebuild and have errors, but then if I hit ctrl-q it rebuilds again and everything is fine.

I need to track down this behaviour and figure out how to prevent it, but I'm not even sure where to start.

Thanks,

Hey Rob - it's me Scott..  How are you?

Zander77,
Which version are you using?
I installed 3.0 and had these issues. Last night I updated to 4.1 and everything seems to be running much better.

RE: 2 updates required

CTRL+B or regular rebuild will only rebuild features that show the Traffic light icon in the Tree. These will be sketches where dimensions were changed or newly modified features. In some cases these don't include all the features that update with a forced rebuild which buids the tree top to bottom.

If your part updates correctly with 2 CTRL+B rebuilds then the problem may have to do with order of your expressions.
If it updates with a single CTRL+Q then you should be okay. If it takes 2 CTRL+Q s to update the model correctly take a look at order of equations.

If you are referencing a Variable in an equation make sure the value of that variable gets calculated higher in the equations list.

Good idea,  I have over 40 equations and I bet that's exactly what it is.  Thanks!
