NX4 Assert Value (mass)

NX4 Assert Value (mass)

NX4 Assert Value (mass)

(OP)
The default mass unit on my installation of NX4 is 'kg'.  However, when I try to assert a value for mass only, the prompt line says 'Assert values (in G -Mm) or mark as unknown'.
Does anybody know why G i.e. grams seem to be the default or where it can be changed to kilograms instead.

Thanks in advance.

Fred

RE: NX4 Assert Value (mass)

Hi Fred,
Go to Analysis Menu --> Units and change the default units to g-mm.

Now Go to "Analysis" Menu and Choose "Mass Properties",Select the Solid Body , turn on "Keep Measure" for "Associative" .

Change the Filter to Mass, Now you get the Units in G-mm, Exprerssion also creates for this.

Pls let me know incase you require any help.

Thanks,
