Welding of AISI 321 Bellow

Welding of AISI 321 Bellow

(OP)
Hi to All
I am in the process of changing a metall bellow in AISI 321 material by means of welding it in two places (cut in three pieces due to difficulty installing it in one circular piece, dia.1450 mm)and in place, my question is what would be the best Electrode(material)for this type of Stainless steel welding, I'm thinking of using GTAW(TIG)mehtode.Any suggestions WBGA.

RE: Welding of AISI 321 Bellow

Yes, I would suggest using the GTAW process with ER347 as the filler metal.

RE: Welding of AISI 321 Bellow

With the GTAW process, you could also use ER321; Ti will not be lost through the arc.
