13 seems to allow for CPVC in dry pipe applications if so listed. I cannot find a CPVC product specifying that it IS listed.

Anyone?

Thx cd

TYCO, Harvel, Spears, Gem / Grinnell, Ipex all have a variation of " CPVC Fire Sprinkler Products shall be employed in wet pipe systems only. "

RE: CPVC listed for Dry Systems

That's because the piping, under certain installation conditions, does not require that the pipe have a thermal barrier such as a single layer of 1/2 inch Type X gypsum board. In a dry system, the potential exists that the piping could be compromised because no water is inside the pipe.

It's funny how sometimes some things have to be pointed out when with the luxury of 20 20 hindsight they seem so obvious.

Thx Stookey
