pattern points

pattern points

(OP)
I have multiple patterns that I have created to use as title blocks.  All is going well with them.  One question that I have is how to I put a pattern point into the pattern templates.  What we would like to do is be able to drag our revision block into the drawing and select the pattern point as the origin point of the revision block.

Any help or suggestions as to another way to do this?

Thanks in advance

RE: pattern points

Patterns by their nature contain ONLY pattern geometry no objects points curves etc are accessible. However you can perhaps do something approaching what you suggest by creating drawing templates which contain pattern and perhaps just a point or curve that you can use to help orient additional title block. Most templates contain notes as text for the title blocks anyway, and you can have more than one pattern displayed so maybe you'll make your title block a pattern too.

Personally we have a set of patterns one for each sheet size and then variations of the patterns with different title blocks for different customers so I basically change over the whole pattern whenever I need to.

Best Regards
