Hello to everyone
I'm a product engineer working with Abaqus for 8 months now. I've found many answers on this site so I wanted to see if you could help me on my way with my first Steady State Dynamics model.

I have a complex plastic suction tube with a steel plate attached to the bottom with 12 bolts. The suction tube is attached with 2 bolts to the machine and is fully or partially submerged in oil. I'm calculating the natural frequency and then focus on Mode1 and use it in a Steady-state dynamics analysis. The main problem now is do I include the oil as a damping coefficient or do I use an acoustic-structural coupling. I am afraid that that coupling will ask too much of my machine and I will be wasting my time on that (I have no problem finding the natural frequencies when ignoring the oil).

I'm interested in finding stress values at a resonance frequency, simulating a vibration test that has happened before on previous suction tubes. I have no idea yet of damping values.
