How practical is it to glass flake epoxy coat small bore (4"nb) pipe work ? I have a fire fighting skid which i propose to FBE coat the pipework but the client seems insistent on glass flake. any advise much appreciated.

RE: Epoxy coating of pipes

Mike,

I don't feel it is a practical or cost effective solution.  I have had clients in the past be rather rude about this suggestion.  Best to replace the whole piping.  Especially for fire-water service lines.  Otherwise let them rust.  Document everything and move on to the next thing.
